You just have to really make sure you get that left hip out of the way on your downswing because if you don't, that ball will push right. The hips close the club face.

Wondering if you have a name for this drill / Setup

Works for some, but if your like me actively learning proper hinge fixed my inside takeaway.

I can hit my irons with out turning my wrist over but my driver I have to “flip” my wrist at impact… now my driver is not a problem and the ball goes plenty far enough with a small cut but I wish I didn’t have to rely on timing tho .. I just hit balls straight right if I don’t “flip” my wrist …

Isn’t one method is the body following hands and arms through? Your swing sure looks this way?

Love your vids! What do you think of same long putter like swing just change clubs for the needed distance? I think with similar swing I can get 70 yd with 7i, 60 with 8, etc…thinking I can eliminate chunked pitch by just as you said brush or clip the ball from turf. Helps with accuracy

4th year player here... Steps #1 & #2 are by far the best golf advice I've found on the internet. Overnight... face contact, launch angle and shot shape with my driver have all massively improved. That tip about setting the club up "they way it was designed" instantly made me clearly understand how a driver actually works and how to adjust my swing to get great drives. Thank you so much !!!

Dumbest tip I have ever heard in 60 years of golf. Don't "turn" means the same as don't "rotate", while all long hitters , including you in the video, turn their shoulders so far, that their back is facing the hole at the top of the swing. The biggest mistake of beginners, is not turning the shoulders and making it an arm swing, not using the powerful back muscles. The key move here is to not start the downswing by turning the shoulders first, but leading with the hips, so the shoulder turns down, and thru, instead of around and outside.

You solved my wrist hinge issues. Squeezing the pinky eliminated hand and wrist manipulation just as you stated.

I find that when I start my downswing by moving my hips just slightly towards the target even before I reach the top of my backswing gives me my best contact, distance and accuracy. When I have it timed up right it's so much fun to play golf, but alas it's not always easy to time up when you only get to play once or twice a month.

Very similar to this, I just watched Bryson De Shambeau give a 3 step swing, of course I won`t explain it as well as him. He told the guy, take the club back and raise your arms, he said now lower your arms to your waist, and then turn, he said practice that over and over, this guy was hitting solid shots, love your easy tips you give us.
